Ohh a Volvo 780 and a diesel manual... These usually run the 2.3 red block turbo or the 2,849cc PRV... Got to be rare with diesel and manual running gear! or has it been switched at some point?

Definately be good to see this brought back into service again :)

Yes it is very rare in diesel form, he got this from Berlin from Ebay and it cost quite a lot at the time. I was lucky i also brought mine from Ebay, i brought mine from the States using only photos shown on the web and the whole transaction including shipping from Nashville to Southamton was done via email and paypal in 2003, mine was one of the last,a 1991 model in pearl red with tan leather. even though it was the 188 bhp turbo it felt very slow and was thirsty.
I had quite a few areas of paintwork resprayed, including the door mirrors, as well as a few other mods to bring the car upto show standard. The engine bay was as new, as was the underside, no salt on southern american roads.
The worst part of the car was the interior, the hot sun had done some damage, plastic shrinkage and leather peeling.
I kept mine for 11 months and then sold via Ebay and last saw it at a VOC show down south a few years ago.
