Anyone understand chassis codes S/V40

Lookin on eBay for suspension for the V40 and the adverts are inconsistent.

Mines a 1.9 T4 2001(51plate)

Some adds refer to chassis code (M, VW or TUV). anyone have the answer??

PS TUV is the Germany safety standards, equivalent to our BS kite mark
