Hello, had my C30 a week n half now and love it. It goes real well and looks the biz. My plan was to get it on LPG and does anyone know any places preffered for fitting an lpg kit to the T5?
Help and info is appreciated.
Thanks

Search on here, we've got an LPG fitter as a member... he might steer you the right direction.

Thanks very much. I hope he comes up with an answer. I would like to have it on LPG to get the miles up. But I love the performance of it. It is very impressive. :)

Cheers everyone. I think if yours is all ok I'll take mine there. Any idea on how long it takes? 4 days?

It took 4 days ish with a spare wheel tank, and quite cheap compared to some.

Mine took 5 days, but they gave me a loan car, so was quite happy.

Cheers for your help. I'll be booming mine in with them by the sounds of it. It's worth traveling to a good garage to get it done properly. Do I need that valve protection stuff they put on or will it be ok?

Flashlube?

Mine isn't using it, and they was no sign of any valve problems when I had the head apart.

Oh right. That's ok then. What did you have the head apart for then?

If u want to travel to Luton u r welcome.
The most important is very good installer knowing what parts are worth to offer to his customer.
Never go for 1 day install.

That's a lot. I wouldn't recommend to do so many miles in between services.
Max 10000miles.

Hi Mark

I had mine done by a company close to Rother valley, just round from were i work, they use kits supplied by FES autogas.

Had the OMVL Dream Piro system on my S80T6 for over 5years and its been great, no loss of power MPG is a little less than on petrol and does drop a bit over winter.

The kit cost me £1800 and took 5 days and has more than paid for its self.

In 5 1/2 years ive covered 47000 miles given my average mpg is a misarable 20mpg that equates to 2350 gallons of fuel 4.54 litres per gallon = 10669 litres

been very conservative with price per litre over 5 years

gas @ 52.9 would be £5643.90
lets say average price of petrol last 5 year @99.9 would be £10658.33

so a saving of £5014.43 less cost of kit give a in my pocket £3214.43

Hope that helps, ok i do have to put a bit of petrol in now and then to keep the injectors going and the initial start up.

Hope that helps.

OMVL ECU is not bad, but injectors are low quality.

Thank you very much laserowl. I will be in touch with that company to get a price. Would you be interested in a Yorkshire meet for the vpc Yorkshire area members. There is a meet this saturday. At about 5 or 6. I would be very interested to see your conversion and it would be good to see the other members motors. Thank you for your info on the lpg. Do you have a number for this garage?

Hi Mark

Sorry carn't do this Saturday. Could poss arrange meeting up if you really want to see the car. Were in Sheffield are you?
Here is the web site
http://www.orslpgconversions.co.uk/contactorsautogas.html

Ask to speak to Paul, not sure what the best kit is now but he will give you good advice. By all means remind him about doing the T6....lol

Just wanted to make something clear that with the lpg price at the moment its not possible to save up to 50%.
Once lpg is set up properly to deliver max power as it is on the potrol, gas consumption is higher than petrol consumption up to 15-20% so with lpg u can save about 40% but never 50%.
As a whole kit i recomend Landi Renzo Omegas or Prins.
The other option is AC Stag ECU with high quality injectors and reducer.

Hi. Thanks for your info. I know that LPG is getting more expensive but is still cheaper than petrol. I will contact them this weekend and maybe have a run over Saturday morning to see the place and talk in person and get a quote. I will remind about your car and find out which kit is best. If you would like to meet could come along to the York race day in June. Think a good few are going to it and I'm hoping to get there. Cheers
