turbo upgrading

im after a kkk k24 turbo for my v70, my 19t wont have enough puff for the engine im building, the question i have is, the k26 turbo, ie from a 944 turbo, is this a larger version of k24? i know the flange would be ok mounting to my s60r manifold (been machined) as its a t3 style flange. any1 on this forum had experience with these turbos as opposed to the td mitsi turbos?

Mo on T5D5 has just made 372bhp on his S40 T4 using a K24 @1.6 bar I think. I think for turbo reliability he turned it down to 1.45bar but still a monster. I looked at the K26 but couldn't find much info. You have limited space with the T5 so are limited somewhat with turbo choice, plenty of space on the T4 for a nice Holset!!

From what I remember the K26 is a 36lb/min turbo so 350ish Bhp but I'm sure there are a few different variations around.

i am hoping for a turbo to run 1.6 bar but higher up the rev range than my old 19t. from the pics ive found, the k24 from volvo's look a straight swap (apart from the oil water lines) wonder if they bolt up to the angled flange downpipes?

Ask Tim Williams from T5D5, he really knows his stuff and has built many big bhp Volvo's. He helped Mo with his forged T4 with the K24.

i just moked up my kkk and R manifold on my mates spare lump main oil feed needs bending or custom braided one look on forum couple of photos bigrotch and blacky i thnk the thread was
