Hi Guy's
I have replaced the top engine mount several times back in the past and remember it as being a right pig of a job, esp without the right tooling..

Does anyone know if the top mount bracket/holder comes off easy enough to at least do the job on the bench??? Or is there specific tooling to do the job fairly easily plz..

The top mount doesnt come off too easily Im affraid. There are not many bolts but the whole arm runs most of the way down the engine.

The best way I have found of fitting them is to lube them with butter and use two circle discs larger than the mount and a "G" clamp to squeeze it into place.

The easiest mounts to fit are by far the poly mounts as they split in two pieces and you can simply "hammer" the new one in.

Polybushes are indeed the way to go... Easy to fit, pretty looking and almost never break. Downside (if you see it that way) is a bit more engine noise in the cabin.
