Pollen Filter

Hi All

I saw an earlier thread about aircon that mentioned the pollen filter and included a link about how to inspect it. I have meant to look at this for some time so when I got home tonight I lifted the cover as shown.

All that is there on my car is a hole. :slap:

Now the question is has a previous owner removed the filter and not replaced it or was there never one and I need to get Volvo retrofit kit, (anyone know the part number for this item)?

hi,
if you have an 850 i was told that the pollen filter is an option so there may not have been one fitted in the first place, as was the case with mine. you can buy the housing and the the filter as i did from volvo but i can't remember the cost though.

This is what I found when i lifted the plastic cover. Note the collection of leaves which I cleaned out. I would recommend others take a look as these could block the drain tubes.
