Another car for the collection (850r breaking)

My turbo let go yesterday, so just brought a mint t5 854, 73,000 full history loads of receipts, cambelt done 5,000 ago taxed (few months )and tested for year. £600 Bargain.

Now i suppose i will have to strip the 850r and pop the bits on, so may be breaking an 850r in black mint bodywork.

Don't see many blacks being broken? but not till its a bit warmer

That's a shame that another one bits the dust! Was it a 855 or 854? You could always swap all the parts over on to the T5.

its a saloon i brought, but the 850r is estate, pretty sure everything swaps over, have a beige interior which is poo

Swap what you can and sell the rest, what condition is the interior in? Or is it not worth fitting in the other car, in fact the rears would be useless anyway I suspose.

i will pop some pics on, it drives no tax and test, but mega smokey on start up, plus i want the adjustable koni suspension off it, but i need to shift it to my garage, but need to clear the garage first. As i need the drive for my sick t5r, which is not for sale.

Its covered 135k some history, not sure of the state of tune but goes off the white on the gauge.

no its just very smokey on start up 15 mins, once warm not smokey, so valve stems or turbo seals, who knows?

Gearbox is the original but bit worn on synchro especially 4th

i really have not thought about it, but im in two minds as i have just brought a mint standard t5 854 which i was gonna pop parts onto. but at a guess it would be a bare engine i.e. no turbo or injectors

thats fine, it would be getting a full overall anyway, everything is going to be made BIGGER haha

well i have priced everything up that i want to do to a t5 engine and put it this way....im going to be broke!! haha
