Bosch coil

Hi all

Noticed yesterday while under the bonnet , my coil making quite loud

electrical noises (arc) .It seemed to get louder on certain revolutions !

All though there car seems to be runing ok , does anybody no if this is a

pending problem ?

PS : Can any body repair volvo amps as mine is full of spilt beer that fell

of my back seat and opened its heart !

With the bonnet up its quite normal to hear a ticking/arcing type noise, quite noticable when your 'near' the coil but shouldn't be heard above the engine noise from the front of the car.
It may be worth spraying the leads and coil with wd40 to protect them.
I did this once on an Audi with running problems and the leads ignited!! The lead insulation had broken down.
