Hi

Recently bought an 97 - 850 AWD 2.4 and love it!

Gonna mod it slowly.

One issue I've noticed, there seems to be a misfire, like a stutter, almost like boost is letting go!! is that clear?!! when you boot it at around 4.5-5k rpm.

Any ideas, Ta Jon

ARRRRRRGHHHHHH! NOT AGAIN pmsl See various threads Started By BigRotch,

After trying all the above that Frankie has said, and you still have the problem check the Crank Sensor Out.

You will be surprised how much crap and dust it gets covered in also may have marks/chunks missing out of it.

Changed:

Plugs, leads, cap, rotor. They were in a terrible state! the worst I've seen.

While there I noticed that the Actuator pipe had corroded/dried out and come off!

I replaced it with silicon pipe and the car runs like a dream now.

LOL, was gonna say check the actuator pipe.

Exactly the same happened on mine when I bought it, hit the fuel cut when I booted it. The actuator pipe was broken off.

And Welcome to the 850 AWD owners clan!! Theres not many of us and we're usually picked on for our huge transmission losses and small turbos LOL
