Newbie!!!

Hey there!

My names Mark, im 20 and from South London..

Don't quite own a Volvo yet, but Im searching high and low for a daily hack 850 T5! Saloon or Estate!!

Always loved them, especially the R, but the insurance aint too good on that for a 20 year old..
So have to settle for the T5, only daily car i have to keep telling myself!

I own a Mk3 Golf which is a bit special..
Found the site by taking a wild guess..lol

I am a bit chuffed with her. We have been through the mill lately what with a new gear box and that.

T5-R/R's are worth holding out for. Just a bit special - but there again I am biased.

How much a new box set you back?

Im after one and hoping that its generally a reliable car that can take some abuse from time to time..

Loved them for ages, never actualy thought I'd own one, but really looking forward to getting hold of one now!

Hi Mark welcome to the forum!!! Glad you managed to find us!!!

I have a T5 but have done a few mods and she looks a wee bit like an R these days! She also goes like stink cos 300 horses is relatively easy to get out of these cars!!

You may well find the Golf feeling slower....the torque on a modded T5 is phenominal!!! :sinner:

The new AT was 1200 - which was all in inc. labour. These nice peeps chipped in too. Big ouch but the new box is much better - less power loss, better consumption and still as smooth as a cashmere codpiece.

If you want to see her in person then let me know - I'd be happy to do a demo and show you all the good and bad bits when looking for your own.

I hope to visit Bracer - after xmas - and we could meet up in Essex?
