Oh, go on then, Can you find a shot of your motor in a similar position/angle to frankie's in the second pic?

Highest resolution possible for better quality ;)

Send it to martinrpeachey@hotmail.co.uk

I should have it finished later tonight.

Not as quick and stealthy at the minute due to having to use a knackered old lappy that only works in safe mode!
Gonna kick Mrs MRP off the telly later so I can fire up the big rig! :)

The only problem with the 19's is you can only drive it in a straight line and nowhere with the slightest bump, dont even think of doing a u-turn unless you've got 5mins to spare :) trust me ive driven the car lol. Looks good though and is perfect for the 1/4 mile except for the turn at the end :)

Tis a lovely motor mate and would look epic with anthracite 19" pegs. I know what you mean about the wheels not filling the arches properly, Mine has a 20mm lift kit for carrying cones and crap about when it was in Leicestershire plod. Has 17" Amelthea wheels and is a kerb magnet! Having seen V70 R replicas in white, all I need is lowering springs, boot spoiler and 19" pegs and I'm larfinn!

I have 19" pegs on my car and wouldnt drive the car with them, when it goes back on the road i will fit 18" the 19's will be for shows, I regret selling my comets big time. 19's are more bother than there worth, you cant enjoy driving the car for the fear of hitting a hump in the road and busting your arch. I have seen my car sitting in such away that I cant get my pinky between the wheel and the arch. There was another guy on here not Frankie (i dont think) that fitted 19" pegs and they removed there wheel linners to stop them from rubbing. Im not sure of the size diffrence with your brake callipers compare to my saffy but your brakes will look tiny too possibly.
Check my pictures albums and you will see my wheels, look at my C70 wheels they were 18" and would show your car off, theres somthing about pegs on non R models thats not quite rite lol just kidding.

These are 18" vector wheels from the latest V70's

those wheels are nice, i have removed my front arch liners as my 235/35/19 tyres are too fat, when they wear out i will put 215's on but i think they will work on a phase 2 no problem thats the car that they come off when i bought them. the good thing about 19's is taller gearing for the track and the speedo is more accurate

They're great looking wheels, and tbh I think they would make a good upgrade for the comets, however not wishing to correct you but the wheels are actually called "Odysseus" ;)

Another good upgrade from the later V70's and more for the 850's, as I believe they look very much like the original Volan as fitted to the 850R, is the "Fortuna" alloy again much like the "Odysseus" this is an 8x18" wheel so should give more clearance and help to prevent arch scrub over the 19's.. Another thing to bare in mind is that the Comet fitted to the S/V70's as a 7x17 where as the Comet fitted to the C70's is a 7.5x17" and the Titan and Volan fitted to the 850's is also a 7.5x17" so are slightly wider wheels and accomodate better the larger cross 215 section tyre which is favoured by most for better traction.. ;)

Fortuna alloy..

poor turning circle we all know a cruise ship could turn better that the S60's, theres a multi story car park in aberdeen that i have to shunt to get round, rather embarising

Not to hand but will have one somewhere. Not lowered and yes the usual rubbing and turning circle issues was worse with the 19's......really wouldn't recommend going over 18's

When i first got my R my tyres rubbed on the wheel arch liners on full lock. I found the stop locks were worn so i replaced with new ones. Black in colour 18mm thick i believe? Also, i fitted the Volvo wheel arch liner protector plates. cheap as chips and stop the tyres trashing the liners. Easy to fit too.
