just to say hello, and introduce myself to the up and coming t5 club. I have got a 850 t5 estate in aubergene metallic with a few mods to date, looking to add a statinless exhaust and a dump valve in near future. At the moment i am having trouble updating my profile, or adding any photo's as my computer will not allow any cookies? aol are not much help, and i have made attempts to contact adminstrator, who has not got back to me yet. happy volvo'n camo.

Hi Camo :welcome: ... if you're having any problems with uploading stuff (haven't used AOL for many years so don't know how their current browser works but have you checked the cookie settings under the 'Privacy' settings) if you e-mail what you want to Justin, he'll update it all for you. I'm fairly sure you have to e-mail the photos for the gallery to him anyway :)

A Few Mods That I Have Fitted Myself
Standard Ecu, With A Bleed Valve (acutual Boost Not Known, Or Power Output)
Re-located Air Horns
Front Strut Brace
K&n Induction Kit
17" Wolfrace Urban Racer In Shadow Chrome Finish.
I Am Looking To Put A Jetex Stainless Exhaust (cat Back), And Bailey Motorsport Twin Piston Dump Valve On In The Very Near Future. I Can't Supply You With Any Photo's As I Am Still Having Trouble With The Site With It Not Letting Me Add Cookies!

Just wanted to give you a little advice on some of your choice of mods
Standard Ecu, With A Bleed Valve (actual Boost Not Known, Or Power Output)
Get a calibrated boost gauge ! When playing with boost it is imperative that you know exactly what is being produced if you want your Rods to stay in one piece !
K&n Induction Kit
Dont bother "Hot Air" intake systems are power killers on these cars, just get a drop in panel filter from any of the leading makes like, BMC, ITG, K&N etc
And Bailey Motorsport Twin Piston Dump Valve
See my other reply on that, but the long and short of it is, get a Adjustable one, and steer clear of the Bailey range.
I dont mean to sound arsey I just thought I'd try and help you from making some simple mistakes in your T5 tuning.
Feel free to ask any questions :)

whats wrong with Bailey's valves?
They can be troublesome on T5's thats all, thou there are a few using them that are ok, its just some cars seem to be more sensitive than other.

cheers bracer for your advice & many thanks for reading my memo.
i will take the matter up seriously regarding the boost gauge, the k&n induction kit does go better with it on, rather than the standard air filter, and which dump valve would you go for then & who sell 'em?

No problem mate.
Dont consider the gauge...................Get it ! lol
And you probably have found some gain in your Butt O Meter with the K&N Cone but you will find more with just a panel replacement
As for the BOV I went for the TurboXS Type R-HFL
http://www.jscspeed.com/part_pictures/turboxs_bov_h-rfl.jpg
Blow Off Valve Type-H-RFL:
A new larger billet aluminum body and a beefier piston ensures the valve remains smooth under the most demanding circumstances. This valve relieves compressor pressure surge caused by changing gears or backing off the throttle quickly and is designed for turbo charged engines running up to 25 psi boost.
If you need to ask this valve is too loud for you!
