Earlier T-5R's do have the 150 mph speedo as standard. It's the '96 on model year that has the 160 mph speedos and that did include some of the very late T-5R's.

So your travelling at 150 showing an indicated 140? Usually it's the other way around.... What's the inaccuracy at 70 mph like?

So his could have been out also then? All cars should be set to overread and they can be out by as much as 10% so at 150 that's potentially as much as 15mph.... If you want to know how far out your speedo is your better off using a sat nav and driving along a straight level surface at 70 and seeing how far it is out, it won't be the be all and end all but it will be more accurate than having someone in front or behind in another car ;)

Mine at 70 mph is about 4-5mph out according to my sat nav.

At 165 GPS mine reads ~180-190. Ridiculous.

Pics or it didn't happen lol!

Since I had my new DIM it reads under - 30mph on speedo - 31mph on gps. Not checked 70 mph yet.

Mine over reads by ~10% ie: 60-100 GPS is 67-109 on my speedo. P2's are apparently quite bad for over-reading. The Canbus data is spot on if I log it so the speedo is just plain wrong. We have tried to adjust it using VCT but there isn't the facility on my model year. On some you can lie to the ECU about your tyre size and effectively recalibrate the speedo - this may only apply to phase 2+ vehicles? In hindsight I am happy with an over-reading speedo as if I'm cruising at "80" I'm unlikely to be caught by a sneaky camera.

Understandable comment - I wouldn't believe it either if I hadn't seen it. The needle was past "6 o'clock" and I was still accelerating (slowly). I ran out of straight road but I suspect there would have been a few 100 rpm left which at 25mph per 1000rpm is ~170mph.

I would like to know what it will do flat out but for obvious reasons it's probably best not to experiment on home turf :cop:

After having been in the car I don't need proof for that claim! Your car really does shift most impressive for the work that's gone into it.
