Ok 2 855 t5's which one would you put your money on to be quicker in a straight line!

This is all light hearted but interesting, Both Runing Standard 15g's
Both Manual Cars.

1st Basic S spec

1994 obd1 147k Good History, MANUAL CAR with auto remap

HLM304 remap (auto), Simota intake, Whites, Walbro, RIP, MBC unos 18 psi Lowered but standard catted exhaust.

2nd CD spec fully loaded

1995 obd2 140k, HLM304, Cone Air Filter, De-cat, mbc 18psi, RIP standard suspension. standard injectors orange. standard pump.

And how much quicker do you think the wining car would be??? lol

i don't think they'd be anything in it. Car 1 has a Walbro but not really beneficial within that power range

If they are both in good condition and the driver skill is the same, then the one with the de-cat.

My money is on the second car, if it's the car I think it is then it has smaller road wheels and removing the cat makes quite a difference to the performance. The first car has got a nice spec list but the map is all wrong so won't be making the most of it. That said I doubt there would be that much in it, as they are both still running a 15g on the same boost level so perhaps half a car at most.

The 1st Car, neglected to mention is also running a me7 manifold.

Both car's pull very well and strong low down, and are level.
1st car runs outa puff in 3rd,
2nd car pulls this back
1st car regains power in 4th but cant get away
2nd car then stay's with the 1st until high speed
1st car once into 5th pulls away slowly.

Thanks for everyones imput.

I've now gotta get rid of my cat lol and then remap her. (1st car owner)

Strange they also have MBC's fitted...
Something tells me the lack of boost spike protection an MBC provides could be something to do with the problem especially as the days/nights are getting cooler which is allowing for denser air/greater boost pressures.
