With all the talk on here about the Turbo tuner product i wondered who has the most powerful standard internal T5 engine ?

And also the most powerful modified engine with a turbo tuner etc ??

If you mean most powerfull but still running standard iternals, then i'd have a guess at smithness.

Think he was running about 315bhp on his last R/R, but running a bit more now (320-350bhp?), he can manage a 13.4@ 106mph(ish) on the 1/4mile, which is bloody fast for a fwd volvo.
Not sure how much longer it will be a standard internals though, going by what i'v read.

Can't answer the 2nd question though.

Also, i'm not including the later s60t5s, etc, just the 2.3s.

Mine isn't internally standard, and is using turbo tuner, but not running yet, but, most people seem to reckon on 400bhp

Smithness and santa20 were both running on standard internals.

I'd imagine there a a few of the later 2.4t5s running at 350bhp and over on the standard block.

I think potentially that would probably have either been JC Viggen as his was over 400 hp.

1/4 mile times aren't necessarily an accurate indication of a cars power, you could easily argue it's more how it delivers that power, mine produced 277hp on a rolling road recently but achieved a 1/4 time of 14.4 @ 101 mph and it's an auto, I also acheived that figure without a power start, which is better than some manuals with more power ;)

that time and speed is fantastic mate for an auto must really pull hard when the turbo kicks in, what turbo you running?

Just a 15g ;) ... lol

All joking aside it's a Turbo Technics 15g hybrid with Garrett T28 internals, it runs 1.2 bar until it hits 3rd gear @ 3,600 rpm where it's mapped to run 1.4 bar which is around 95 plus up to then it's probably very similar to a stage 2 car but after that it really starts to motor.

No problem, yes Turbo Tuner is a good piece of kit. It certainly made a big difference with mine.

I am not sure about the car being the fastest auto, although it is with a Turbo Tuner, I think someone, possibly JamesT-5R?, had a T5 which he achieved better results on the 1/4 mile using the power start method which is something I am yet to try, and probably won't tbh.

elliot runs a turbo tuner and a gt30 and av seen cars with over 500bhp get destroyed by jcviggen on the ring , 8.04 in traffic is not to be sniffed at by any 1

Not me mate mine's a manual but the Mrs got a 14.6 in an 855 auto with just a map everything else standard.
