My '98 V70R auto awd has recently developed a 'grumbly' type of noise when turning mainly right hand corners, not a drive shaft 'clickety' type sound.
I jacked it up to see if there is anything obvious like wheel bearings, ball joints etc, but the only thing I noticed was that with both front wheels off the ground I couldn't rotate the the wheels, they were trying to turn the propshaft, does the awd version have a limited slip diff, or is there another problem looming, I am removing the propshaft tomorrow.
