Hi all,

I'm nearly ready to assemble my replacement lump to put in the old girl. I'm after the timing tools to enable mechanical timing i.e. Cam locking & Crank locking tool. Can anyone recommend a set to buy and from who?

There is a nice looking kit on USA fleabay, but I was after something a little cheaper if at all possible.

Thanks all.

Did mine without any, just mark up everything before removing the belt, take your time and make sure it all stays inline.

Cheers Paul, but my replacement lump had no belt, pullies or covers, so it's all from scratch!

About half way down it shows how to time the cams up

I made up my own cam locking tools, wasn't very difficult, just a couple of bits of steel that were a good fit in the slots in the rear of the cams bolted to a piece of angle, I had to use some washers on one to create the slight offset between the slots in the cams.
