the MSD coil & 6A is a popular upgrade over in America. I've got both & must say she starts first time without even thinking even if sat for a while. Prices aren't too bad if you order direct from MSD, don't forget import tax tho

For around £200 a guy from either Norway or Sweden (can't remember which) on Swedespeed can convert you ecu to run coilpacks then just buy some second hand coil packs.

exactly the same as i've got, only i paid £44 instead of £117. You don't get the bracket & you've got to make your own HT lead but quite a saving LINK (http://www.msdignition.com/Products/Coils/Street/Strip/8207_-_MSD_Blaster_SS_Coil.aspx)

Why do you have 2?
because i'm greedy lol. My launch control won't work with the 6A unit, so i've got 2 & it switches between them when using the launch

I'll probably just get it from pfv, can't be bothered to get another bracket and ht lead from somewhere. Too lazy.

The volvo ignition coil is perfect for most, if not all applications. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Around the £100 mark. I did buy a new one recently.

The thing with a lot of these 'Uprated' parts is, they're not as good as the genuine Volvo stuff.

I wouldn't bother with any of this MSD stuff personally.

sorry to hijack, but would the need to close the gap on sparkplugs be an indication of a weak spark? I thought the only reason you'd do that is if it was getting blown out with the high boost

Your not sorry to hijack the thread at all Duane. What does this have to do with anything about the OP's question? Your only intention here is to start an arguement, as you stated on FB. Where you also called all forum members who prefer to use a volvo ignition coil, 'Muppets'.

Unfortunately, there is only one muppet here, and that is you Pedro. A muppet of the highest order to say the least.

I don't know whats happend on another site and i don't want to either, but come on, lets not bring it here.

Too much sh*t going on in the world for people to argue about such small things.

People have different opinions, thats all they are and there are no point in getting p*ssed off about them and gettin into a slanging match.

This isn't aimed at one person but all of us.

Heres something to lighten the mood

it shows that by having to close the gap on the plugs to maintain a spark using the Volvo coil means its not really upto the job
