has anyone ever chopped into the wings for vents? would be a little more subtle/moddest, but still allowing the heat to escape.

What is the point of "running the air" over the turbo? What in effect are you trying to achieve. Exhaust temps are going to be around 600 degrees - so blowing a bit of air over it will achieve little? Turbos are fluid cooled anyway. Sorry but this is not an idea that holds any water. Claymore runs a scoop because he has a supercharger & a top mounted I/C.

trouble with scoops and vents is they often dont work the way you expect or only work at one speed, air can stall on sharp edges, pressure differentials can make air go the wrong way, or an opening in one place can stop the air escaping where its supposed to.

I reckon just put a small vent above the turbo, Hot air Rises, i'm thinking the grille suck the air in below the bonnet line then it mix's with the engine bay heat, warms and flow up and over the screen if theres a vent at the back of the bonnet.

I dunno, but i fink it sounds good lol
