Yes it is a copy, it was on pistonheads approximately a year ago. The T5-R was NEVER made on an L registraion.

Dont get me wrong it looks nice, But He shouldn't really advertise it as a T5r.

Dear candgtyres247,

What do you mean this is original volvo interior as far as know is quite rare cheers

- t5r300bhp

i replied.

Dear t5r300bhp,

The Vehicle apears to be a replica 850 t5r. They didnt make a 850 t5r on a L reg. www.mycarcheck.com list it as a 850 Turbo. Not a T5r. Also the 850 (t5r) never had a Reverse intercooler pipe across the top of the engine. only very early ie L reg 850 t5's did. and they were only Badged as 850 Turbo.

Shame looks a lovely car in very good conditon. The interior is also out of a later T5, The "850 R" which was a mass production high performance 850 made from 1996. the t5r was only made in 1994 in very limited numbers.

The Car was also advertised on piston heads around a year ago this was discussed also on www.vpcuk.org as it was then a replica 850 t5r.

I was just interested as it was advertised as a T5r, which after checking its not. Very sorry she looks a lovely car but i'm after a T5r.

Kind regards

Feel abit sorry for him

they were only called 850 turbo on the log book, they still had the T-5 badge on the boot

a t5 dressed as a t5-r is always gonna be only a t5 even though its just a few different things

it always rings alarm bells with me when they list "17" T5R wheels" (or other specific parts) in the advert, as its a T-5R why shouldn't have them?

T5frankie

Thats exactly why despite changing everything on my T5 to T5-R and 850R spec I was never 100 percent happy.

Having owned a genuine T5-R and being able to say I was its very last owner is, despite the circumstances an honour.

Until you have owned one you can never understand....

Obviously in your case Frankie you have but was making a general point.

A t5r, Yeah sure he may be Genuine, thats why i tried to be as tackfull as possible. it's does look like a nice car.

But simply not worth the same price as a Genuine Black T5r

i agree that its not worth the same but av seen R up for less than t5s. not having a go but people winge about all the bitchyness and that between this forum and t5d5 yet the same forums slate and have a go at normal none members that tbh might not know the difference in what they have t5 or t5r etc etc

The trouble starts when the members of either forums try and tell the normal "Civvies" (Lol :D) that their car isn't an R and they get all bitchy and defensive about it.
