272218 Which is a LUK 624 2233 00 which fit eng B5234T4 850 t5-r

LUK 624 2069 00 is the one which fits B5234T5 850R

From most of the boards I have researched it says the B5235T4 is the 850R engine and clutch part number 272218. FCP Groton states the OEM part number 272218. Strange, I'm confused now.

tbh so am i, i was given the 272218 number after someone corrected me saying the number i had was for the M56 lol. Come to think of it, on my engine list both the T-5R & 850R have the same engine number, yet both have different gearbox's (T-5R has M56, 850R has M59) so comparing by engine number might not be the best way of finding it

the b5234t5 engine is the t5r and auto 850r engine , manual 850r engince code is b5234t4 iirc

I've just bought the 227218 and i'm pretty sure its the right one! Bloody hope so lol

Hi, i can only go on what my Catalogue says, I supply Luk Clutchs and sachs unit's etc to the Motor Trade have done for 18yrs. (i do make mistakes of course)

I have Also ordered and seen both clutch's 624 223 300 and 624 2069 00

The springs were difinatly thicker on the later number 624 2069 00

272218 is LUK 624 223 300 T5-r

2719565 is LUK 624 2069 00 (and only listed fitting 850r) the other clutch will still fit though.

Hi Mitch, i'm sure you will be fine (perhaps it's just LUK) who built there clutch to do the 850r Only.

Sachs who i belive were the original manufacturer of the clutch may say different, when i try and cross the LUK number to the sachs, The sachs is only listed in PART form see below

Clutch Disc = 1862 428 133 / Volvo 9163500
Clutch Plate = 3082 254 232 / Volvo 9163501
Clutch Releaser = 3151 269 332 / Volvo 9163506

I will see if i can get the Proper Sachs Kit number tomorrow.

Think ive sussed it. LUK build Two different plates t5-r and 850r where as Sachs only built One to do the Both.

Luk t5r = plate 124 0215 20 / luk kit 624 223 300
Luk 850r = plate 124 0183 20 / luk kit 624 2069 00

Sachs Plate= 3082 254 334 (obsolete) T5-r
Sachs replaced it with 3082 254 232 which also does both

LUK 850r 624 2069 00 goes to Sachs 3000 693 001 (doesnt have the Plate)
You have to buy the later Plate number seperate which does both
3082254232

I think I paid about £180, but I do get a huge discount from my dealers, so the price might be miles out

I just paid 200 for mine including release bearing from a guy called palmer on here. I think hebpaid 257 for the kit from volvo.

The b5235t5 is the t5r engine not the 850r. The 850r is the b5235t4.
