Estimate BHP figure?

I know this is a little daft because all car's are different. But if you could give me a Guide, How much Bhp do you think my Current Car is Running dep on mods?

Flywheel and crank, Mods are:

Hlm 304 Map
MBC @ 18 psi
Simota Cold Air intake
Walbro Fuel Pump
Standard Organe Injectors
Up rated 850 r clutch

Car is 855 t5 manual 145k doesn't use oil or water on the Button
Will be Comparing it wiv a 297bhp @ the wheels, Cupra tomorrow will keep you all informed.

at a rough geuss any where between 230-260bhp maybe 270bhp max if your lucky

Yeah thats totally what i'm expecting, My 850 will pass my mates Cupra k1 which is 240bhp. thats why i'm comparing it with one which is 294bhp.

Thanks for they reply Liam, No only 18psi in the last two gear's 15-16psi in the 1st three gears. although i will be tweaking the mbc. and a 15g lol

The cupra r weighs around 1380kg, so not a lot lighter.

Shame your not getting 18psi in 3rd, you should be ok midrange but unless he's a sh*te driver it will be quicker.

But remember your in a slow, old mans car ;) so it doesn't matter if your not as fast.
As long as you don't get destroyed, you can take the p out of him!

I recon, if you're worried about getting slaughtered, (this will work better if you have tinted windows) Strip out the back seats, spare wheel and any other cr@p you got stashed in there and if you're feeling brave, give the w/g actuator a turn (just for the run) - give the old girl a fighting chance! :)
or just take it on the chin and let VW parts bin win. :hilarious

mine made 278bhp at the crank , ran a 14.3 at york, mods are 16t ,s60r manifold , whites ,mbc , unknown remap and a decat.

your 15g with be pushin hot air after 18psi so a wouldnt bother turning it up

just my two bobs worth ive only got mbc @13 psi, 3" turbo back zorst i also have dyno printout from previous owner with 248.9 bhp granted i dont know if its whp or at the flywheel but i followed siamblue to the last essex meet and i kept up with him!! and i murder my brother clk 320,my dads v8 mazda b2000 my cousins golf gti turbo (with mods) and recently a freinds golf tsi (turbo and supercharged) and more besides, so i think youve got a fighting chance again power depends on the individual car like you said,but also the driver helps lol

His car has around 300bhp mate, yours at 13psi will be the 248 bhp you mentioned is uhat on a 15g?

tbh i havent checked no history suggests its anything other than a 15g, everything still stock im sending the ecu off next week but other than that its standard,and also have to mention i didnt down shift,just kept in fifth and i kept whithin striking distance it wernt till we parked up and he said and i quote "yours is quick" i smiled and said "you reckon" to which he replied "well it kept up with mine" i think it just backs the theory that different cars with similar mods will always perform differently,im constently arguing with people who guesstimate the outcome of potential races cause to be honest when the green flag drops the bull**** stops :) facts and figures count for nothing then :hidesbehi

and tbh in a volvo its a win win situation coz weve always got the "well it is only a cheap volvo" excuse for when we lose ;)

merc - why don't you just put it on a dyno & find out? I would pick just one dyno & use that always. that way you can know any differences/gains/losses over time. Other thing is peak figures do not give the full picture. The area under the torque curve is where it counts.

no mate their are far quicker cars on here than mine, mine is undergoing an engine transplant and a couple of extra mods my best is a 14.6 which i think is the fastest v70r on here (they are the heaviest) smithness' 850 is rapid he got a 13.4 i think

see mate people love the stats but when it comes to the crunch theyre not so brave!! let us know what happens on the rollers,maybe someone should (nugde nudge) organise a dyno day ;) im sure we could get enough people i think about ten cars would get you a half day with a bit of discount on the rollers,would make a good meet ;)

Maybe, but richard would go a bit quicker too. Although that intercooler on yours seemed to be doing a very good job of keeping your temps down anyway.

Get some nice soft slicks on the front, that would make it more even.
