come on people its time to give me another lesson in T5 engines.

So what injectors came standard in a T5 and t5r?

Whats a good injector upgrade to use with a 16t turbo, front mount intercooler, 3inch downpipe and system with a decat, s60r turbo manifold and a bit more boost.

Gonna happily leave the details to Pedro, orange are standard on a P2 T-5, (I think up to 310Bhp)
basically, colour depicts it's injection capacity, the more capacity, the more delivery, the more power it can help deliver in conjunction with your larger map/turbo/intercooler/exhaust/all of the above.

With a 16T you can get away with the standard orange 315cc injectors happily. However if you do wish to go slightly higher whites which are 350cc will be plenty enough to run any 16T combination.

850 T-5 = orange
850R = white
S/V70 T-5, pre ME7 = white
S/V70 T-5, ME7 = blue
S60/V70 T-5 = blue
S60R/V70R = green

hmm, assuming its the V70 in the pic then yeh its a P2. Why you've got oranges tho is a bit baffling

According to the service sheet, the plod did a lot of tinkering with the motor in the thing, didn't say exactly what, just got lines like this;
12/4/2004 Engine - modify
13/4/2004 Brakes - replace all pads
etc.

orange's are the lowest cc they fitted to a T-5

i'd of thought someone's changed them for a reason, what reason who know's. The ecu's do adapt very well & probably will relearn if you put bigger injectors back in. If your planning on doing more mods to the engine then i'd look at changes the injector's then, but as its obviously ok as it is then i wouldn't bother myself

no problem sir, i did have a list of flow ratings for the colours but can't find it now. My oranges are currently running at 99% so got to upgrade them

I have some blue injectors for sale if this is any help, they are off my old 850r engine which had headgasket fail, and the new engine is staying standard orange, PM me if interested

Don't whites and blues have the same flow rate at 3 bar fuel pressure? Just different impedance?

As ME7 runs 3.8bar fuel pressure hence the higher flow rate using blues.

just a quick update on my injector query, they are brown! (dark butterscotch) there is no bosch symbol on them. there was, however, a code - 4541 ? any ideas
