My 855 t5 is going very well since i got rid of the dv, I have had this issue for ages and still trying to get to the bottom of it.

When i'm driving along through town and change gear the rev's always rise abot 100-200rpm until i select the gear i want.

I have checked for air leaks, (there arnt any)

I have Cleaned throttle Body

I have checked throttle cable

I have replaced idle control valve for a good one Made no difference.

Any further ideas??

Car is very drivable but would just like to get to the bottom of it.

have you checked the vac pipe on the left side of the inlet manifold,
behind the thermostat housing,a bitch to see and get at if you got big hands,
you can touch it with a finger, with engine running and as you run your finger oround it you will hear it suck and engine revs /sound change.
if its leaking obviously lol,
but the vac elbow colapses into itself so its hard to see, just feel all around it ,if its faulty you will feel it,
mine went there,so i replaced the pipe with cillicone, (cant remember how to spell that ) :)
