940 turbo no spark

my farther just gave me his 940 turbo it was running fine. then he started it one day was running then started to miss and knock then cut out. looking at it there is no spark anyone know where to start looking cheers all

ignition module ?
coil ?
is the distributor on the back of the cam or sticking out the side near the front,

if its on the end of the cam then remove the distributor cap and chech the wiring under the cap as the seal on the end of the camshaft weeps oil into the cap and then soakes the wiring.the distributor cap usualy ends up oiled and wet .
