I'm a welder by trade but haven't the foggiest idea what you are talking about LOL ! I assume you can't get a short enough mandrel bent piece of tube and are thinking about using a convoluted flexi section ?

Nope sorry...didn't understand any of that... Have you tried Jetex's website?, they sell all sorts of bends and silencers etc..That's where I bought my exhaust piping from.

am not a welder so am tryin my best .
would a 90degree mandrel bend be better flowin than a lobster back bend http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=lobster+back+weld&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&qscrl=1&nord=1&rlz=1T4SUNC_enGB388GB388&biw=1440&bih=646&tbm=isch&tbnid=8bJoCxq0wINCjM:&imgrefurl=http://forum.jdmstyletuning.com/showthread.php%253F16789-Fabrication-Welding-pr0n/page2&docid=QsgjUn3z247G5M&w=800&h=600&ei=b7g5TtDqKsbFtAaR4ZX2Dw&zoom=1.

I would have thought so. The lobster back bend that you show there seems to be a compromise when the correct mandrel bends can't be used. They also look like a lot of work do do properly to clean and smooth the internal welds, how much difference that's going to make in an exhaust system I don't know but I would try and source mandrel bent sections first.

If the pipes were Purged with an Inert Gas,whilst they were been welded. Then the welds on the inside should be as clean as the outside ones, thats me remembering back to college days (95-99). Pretty sure its something like that anyhow, maybe some one can correct me if i am wrong.

what you need is x1 radious of the diameter when your ordering the first bend that comes off the flange. this is the tightest youll get. its a pipe fitter you need to try and find realy. try berkely stainless for your bends but beware of shipping costs. some times cheaper to arrange yr own courier

as for the flow think of it like water. the tighter the bend the slower it will flow, the bigger the radious the better but space dosnt always let you
