sure the RWD's have more offset than the FWD's so stick out the arch more (i think lol)

if your thinking of keeping them on the 850 you could always grind the centre down to reduce the offset, i'd suggest getting an engineering shop to do it instead of getting the angle grinder out yourself lol

t5 pete
Monday 1st August 2011, 00:01
just managed to get intouch with the bloke he says the arches need to be rolled and the biggest tyres that will fit with out rubbing are 205/40/17
Ade there the volvo rwd offset and either 7 or 7.5 j they were a optional extra for the 700 and 900 series and quite rare not many about at all.
So tbh not too bad really for fitting

What's the difference with them lee

The Toyo R888 is one of the best if not softest road legal tyres you can buy. In the dry the drip is limitless... however should it drizzle you may find driving with them the scariest motoring experience of your life in a powerful FWD Volvo.

You can get them here but they have to come from Norway and they arent cheap. http://www.eiker.no/default.asp?ItemID=1207

Certainly one of the nicest wheels to be graced with a Volvo badge, also probably one of the rarer... Good luck finding a genuine set in good condition which aren't going to cost the earth to buy. I still think they are more at home on the 700/900 series cars and dare I say it not a match for Volan or Titan wheels on an 850.

Very nice mate. Reminds me of the wheels they used to put on Mercedes AMG models back in the late 90's (probably shouldn't mention that round here!)

I've looked on the Eiker site but I'm struggling with the translation? Are the E1 rims 1500e each?or fir a set of 4?

t5 pete
Friday 5th August 2011, 08:54
I think that's each

antz
Friday 5th August 2011, 09:04
As Pete says I think thats per wheel which I worked out at £800 for a set of four. But then theres shipping and import tax at this end on top of that. Then youll ened tyres and wheel nuts.

NOT CHEAP! But definately worth it if you can afford it.
