855 Boot not locking

Hi Chaps,

I am having a problem with my boot not locking any more.

When I lock the car using the key on the drivers door all doors lock apart from the boot. This is the same with the alarm, all doors lock but the boot does not.

But if I lock the car from the loot lock, all doors lock and the boot locks.

With all doors locked including the boot, when the car is unlocked using the remote, all doors open apart from the boot, that stays locked.

Is anyone had the same problem?

I think that the solinoid on the boot lock has gone?

dodgy rear tailgate lock solenoid. Had that problem myself twice. I have a spare super dooper tailgate lock for sale on the 'for sale' section. 110% worker!! PM me if you need it.

For the amount of hassle and money to get it fixed, if it doesn't bother you that much just unlock/lock the boot with the key.

doesn't take long Gary, swap time appx 30 mins. If it were mine id do it, as in my opinion...if its meant to work it MUST work.

Thats my problem, if its meant to work, it must work.

My problem is I am trying to recomission my parents old volvo onto the road and that are loads of bits that need doing :(
