theres a company called ecotech performance doing remaps for 200 quid gave the guy a ring and had a chat seems a cool guy the place is in buckley wales he will come out to you for 295 quid or 200 quid to drive to him has anyone heard of this firm , was going to save for m.t.e or rica but for this money am very tempted the power claims are the 30 bhp and 73nm on stage 1 any ideas.

You get what you pay for and I don't want to do someone's beta testing with my very expensive cat TYVM.

He makes a fair point though. I've been in the Volvo tuning scene for about eight years and I have never heard of a car tuned by them. So I wouldn't go for it either.

They were a lot of money back in the day for the 850's as well i paid over 500 for a Rica about 7yrs ago.

Rozer, try calling Rica, HLM and Mte(kalmar union) and get quote's at least they are tried and tested.

was talking to hamish from hlm hes one sound dude talks sense his map is swedish and you get dyno before and after £350 seems very fair when you consider rica m.t.e after all they all quote silly bhp figures but in reality do you get 300 bhp from map with 16t i dont think so more like 275 to 280 with a nice bump in torque game on. FOR NOW.

if your on a phase 2 car wont you be running the 24kkk turbo and not a 16T ?

I run an MTE stage 2 and get 300BHP at the WHEELS ! and hamish dyno'd it.

I also got 300 bhp at the Wheels when hamish mapped it, but the car started not to like that map for some strange reason. Credit to hamish he did everything he could to sort it, and he didnt give up, was me in the end that changed to MTE.

Lots on here will critisize hamish, I personally have never had an issue with him.

In short with a 24kkk then yes 300 bhp is achievable.

Rozer, there's a couple of us here that have had postal remaps done by http://re-map.biz/

£220 it was, plus a fast turn around - had ECU back within 48 hrs.

Rozer, i used More-Bhp in Crewe, Google them and give them a ring. My car is a BM 525d, but im sure they do Volvo's ;)

I think they are "standard" maps, and cost £200

wegal you might be right there about the turbo i was sure mine is the 16t but after looking that is sold as lpt on viva they list mine as 18t for my year t5 2004 on 53 plate mines the model before the facelift 2.3 s60 t5 i think the 24kkk is on the 2.4 t5 260bhp correct me if am wrong.
