Are all the LEDs in the high-level brake light working OK?
Clutch pedal is a weird one.

also in the n/s/r wing is a large fuse box, with relays and fuses, these have a few issues ,
these control the rear half of the car,
the boot/doors/interior lights/stop lights etc .
just try wiggling or disturbing the fuses incase its just bad conection,
if you get the codes read it will probly tell you more,
pedal switch fault code is 142 i think,

Theres a double relay in the fuse board in the REM which Volvo have modified to 2 separate relays.
If this goes down you have a fault - can't remember what - with the brake lights which throws the message when you brake.
