Guy need help! Lock my car lost the keys! Got the spare but it's only a key and no fob! Got in via window :-( can't start due to alarm! Help! All doors and boot still locked! How can I get the thing started and get the deadlocks off without a new boot and four new doors!

On the v70 if the alarm is on via the fob, and door opened with key the alarm will sound till the key goes in ignition and car is started, ( dont know if this is the same on the 850).

I can't open the doors :-( it won't start when I turn the key. Don't think I left the ignition on and waited for the alarm to start to try start :-/ will the alarm not just go off when I try start it?

your key should open the doors even if you did lock it with the fob

pedro, my car will NOT unlock via the cars door locks with the key if I set the alarm & the dead locks kick in. The only way in is through the tailgate & a bit of a scramble over the seats. lol.

sounds like its the wrong key to me. You say it fits the ignition, does it turn all the way like the old key used to (ie even flick round to the start position)

Right well a fool I was I left the spare key in a folder in the boot! Tried getting in the boot by smashing the lock but no joy so pinged the window anyway! Thinking a new fob will work???

Thinking a new fob will work???
if i remember right you have to turn the ignition on & off several times to get the security ecu into programme mode. Not if a main stealer knows other ways to programme the fob, but i'd of thought it would mean dragging the car to them as they won't come out

Ok, opened the boot from inside and all the doors opened! Locks are different as spare key still doesn't do anything except ignition, and I never tried the original key only used the fob! Switch the ignition on and the alarm and immobiliser come into action! Although I can start the car by jumping the starter but the alarm continues to go off :-( new fob is on it's way, hopefully I can programme it ok

program it by......
Put the ignition key in.
Turn the ignition on as quick as you can 5 or 6 times. By that i mean. ON OFF ON Off etc (quickly)
Look at the LED on the top of the dash.
Its should start to flash.
Click the lock button on the fob.
LED should light & show response.
Take the key out of the ignition & press the fob, it should lock the doors.

When doing the on off bit sometimes it can be a little bit of a pain & a few attempts.

Wicked! This is what I need! Will try when the fob arrives! Although does it matter that the alarm goes off when the ignition is turned on??? Been trying to bypass the immobiliser with no success :-(
