will anything fit my 850 t5 from a 740????

first of all apologies for lack of volvo knowledge this is my first!! basically ive just been offered a 740 turbo estate (as an alternative to scrap man!!) but im not sure if anything is worth saving more specifically is the turbo bigger or better or infact would it even fit? or any other parts worth having im doubtfull but as the muma says "you never know unless you ask" :)

Very much doubt anything will go from a 740 to an 850, the turbo wiill be completely different and probably be quite small....Sorry..

the turbo on a 740 is usally a t3 so it will be bigger but will not fit an 850 unless you clock it and then you have make it fit.

You can loosen the centre band, and turn the ports as needed, like turning the hands on a clock.

yes. 1+. a mate of mine did it. loosened the band & split the exhaust housing, ground off the location nipple & reassembled it to fit the 740.
BTW.....I've been looking for a decent 740 turbo estate for a while. Id like 1.

i did have an idea thats what it was but i wasnt sure :worried: and is it a better turbo than the 15g or should i just stick with finding a 19t (considering the 740 turbo will cost next to nothing :) )

i havent a clue on the details a freind of a freind has one i think its had a little whack in front so he was gonna scrap it!!! but ill find out all relevant details might even see if i can get some pics and let you know ;)

if it says 740 turbo intercooler on the boot lid its a HPT

all 740s are hpt and if it says 760 turbo intercooler then it has 182 bhp standard.
