I have heard of these things & TBH they are difficult to solve. Even Techmasters in Volvo have a hard time. Maybe sourcing one from a breakers yard for bushes or just a straight swap - a difficult task in itself. HTH

I have had this since i bought mine - to be honest have tried a lot and nothing was permanent. I tightened all the bolts, visible and some only visible from taking things off - in fact was thinking about putting a new seal on there just in case it had worn away over time and not as tight a fit

Solution for me which cost £0 is to drive the car with sunroof on vent everytime - no rattle, no problem! otherwise I would just pull my hair out looking for the cause, that or spend a fortune at Volvo sorting it.

Had an issue with my sunroof at weekend

it didn't appear loose at all but it ejected from the car

initially i thought it had been pushed back but upon inspection it was gone

a quick look down the road but found nothing i also looked back when
it got loud but saw nothing fall off

the brackets are a mix of plastic and cast metal all sheared off

i was travelling lets say fast for legal reasons but not something i hadn't done before

ebay delivered one today
can get rid of the mdf board now

Another thing to check buddy is that the roof is sitting flat when closed. Mine didnt when I got it, so I adjusted it so it sealed properly.

Not saying it is your issue, but if it doesnt close properly, it may be letting in a bit of sky wee.

Just 4 bolts behind the long plastic trim, real easy.

Yes, it still does a little, but not so much since i tightened these bolts - if you can give me till later, I will nip out and take some pics to show you where the bolts are.

So after you have seen the pics you basically shut the roof, loosen the bolts either front or back first, then push roof till it sites flat, then tighten and move onto other side (front or back)

The bolts are hidden at first behind some trim, but I will get a picture up to show you bud.

Wont stop the rattling totally, but did quieten mine down a little bit, and it now sits flush.

You sorted?

no. i managed to loosen the screw either side towards the back of the car but the front 2 aint moving at all and to be fair i dont really know what im doing with it all so dont wanna start messing with it

i cleaned out the 2 drain holes so any water that does leak will drain away so think im gonna soldier on thru summer and maybe get it sorted for winter

it seems the hinge that lifts the roof needs tightening down both sides but god knows how to do that

appreciate your help on this mate thanks
