I put Tesco momentum 99 in my 2000 t4 the other day. And it started stuttering under any acceleration. Went back to shell v power and it's perfect again. Anyone else had that problem?

I have gone from V Power over to Momentum, only because the Shell is another 6p a litre on top than the Tesco,
Car has been running fine on it, even at 24psi today in the hot temps.

My 850 with Rica 280 likes tesco better than shell - but prices not t hat different in Eastville Bristol and I can NOT stand teh queues and dickheads at Tesco,

Live is seriously too short to save a penny a litre.

There was a thread on volvoforums from a retired tanker driver who was adament that supermarket fuel, irrespective of RON, doesn't have the same additives that branded fuel does. Truth, or fiction???!!!

I think that one of the suposed benifits of shell, bp, etc. They say that they have additives that make it better for the engine.
I think its true or they would be done for false advertising, as i'm sure a car mag would have looked into this.

the last few months I've been running my T4 on momentum with no problems at all, the cars runs just as well as it did on Vpower and I get better MPG from the momentum than I was getting on the V power, and I'm saving about 4-5p a litre on the momentum...

I run mine on cheap unleaded from various sources although the engine is standard. Am I missing out on something or just not spending as much on fuel as you guys?

The best all - round juice I found was Sainsburys 97 ron, I know a lot of sainsburys stations use shell but mine isn't. not sure where they get it from. MPG is better than vpower and there is no noticeable difference in performance although apart from a minor plod remap and a bit of tinkering, the car is pretty much standard.

I never touch 95 or 97 anymore unless it cannot be avoided as my car runs like a dog when you make good the use of the throttle.

I can honestly say that Tesco 99 runs just as well as V-Power in my car.

I too have resorted to Tesco 99 as a permanent solution as Tesco's is 15 miles closer than my nearest Shell garage and as previously mensioned its often cheaper, especially with the 5p off per litre deals.

I always use tesco in my motor. I've never had any probs and like other. People have said its cheaper and after. All we need to save as much as we can with the rip off fuel prices of today.
