T4 Broke down!!

Hi everyone good to be back with a V40 T4 i just bought last week,A 1998 CD mettalic black with 122,000 on the clock.Loadsa plans for it but have a problem with it breaking down tonight.Although though i thought it was kinda sluggish when i bought it the problem seems to have got worse over the last week and finaly packing in tonight.Driven along normally and car just died,no power,ground to a halt and would'nt start again...almost like no fuel was getting through.got it towed home and released the bleed valve on the fuel rail.Then started with no problems,took it out and everytime a went round a corner it started running on 2-3 cylinders......Just bought the car,don't want to fall out with it so soon.....Can anyone help??
Fuel gauge had about 70 miles left on computer!!

At least you can be pretty sure its a fueling issue.
Try and get a cheap fuel pump and start from there.

mine did that.take the fuel sender out from under the back seat and see if its full of crap..

Thanks guys.....yep am gonna try a fuel pump first see how it goes and take it from there...

Problem now sorted......Fuel pump was the culprit!!
