Yeap was seriously blasting Miss Whiplash past a TVR tuscan at the lights and he was on my bumber moments after I passed him and my foot was to the floor wheels spinning in second gear right to the redline I pulled in to let him past and watched is wheels lock up for the next red light! No ABS i believe and bloody hairy by the looks of it!

One amazing sounding car that I had to pull in for (I wish other people would more for me) but after reading they do 0-60 in 3.8 secs and 195 mph Im definetly not ashamed by my Miss Whiplashs performance at the end of day. Even if I felt like a sales rep holding up the fast lane very breifly!

As they say theres always someone Faster or Harder out there !

If you had held out for long enough something would probably have fallen off the tvr.I know a few people that have had them and while they are quick they werent too impressed with the build quality.

Poor bloke, I can see the beads of sweat on his forehead. "A Volvo giving me a good run for my money?" Nothing like showing people what a Volvo is really capable of, just to wake them up a bit. :)

My old boss used to have one. A shocking yellow Griffith 500. Sounded like the end of the world arriving, and went like holy stink..

We used to marvel at the build quality though. We didn't say "good morning" we said "what's gone wrong with it this week then?" and the panel gaps were great; wide enough to take your dog for a walk in them...

Lovely cars, but a bit of an enthusiasts-only market if you ask me, and only at their best on dry, wide, A-roads.

I used to love having a play with it on the back B-Roads in Cornwall where I used to be based. The Escort Cosworth I had at the time used to leave it for dead on the twisty bits, and in the wet... only one of us could even think about pressing on.

If you're in the market for that type of car, then great. But for 40-odd grand, I'll have an Audi RS6...

Good mate of mine used to work for a TVR dealership, and part of his job was to ascertain whether the sale of a TVR was to a suitable buyer - he had to ask them if they'd mind bringing it back within a fortnight for repairs that could take upto a month!

I gave in to a M3 CSL - that was my one and only i think whilst roaming. It was the fastest car i had seen in a long time - rentless in it's power delivery also.

Good man for trying though !

TVR power (who used to do the race prep for the TVR race cars) used to have a unit in Longford in Cov, when i worked as a carpentor we had a few jobs on there estate & every now & again they'd wheel out 1 of there cars, do a burn out & wheel it back in, we asked them what they were upto & they said its the easiest way to test the diffs (sounds like a good excuse to me lol)
