Daft question but are k&n style panel filters worth the extra cost compared to standard paper type? And how often shud they be cleaned?
Also off topic how many miles shud a set of spark plugs be changed? Do the leads ever need doing as well? Can u tell my cars getting serviced this week lol

Spark plugs on average I would say every 20k miles, HT leads probably every 40/50k. The HT leads for me at least are a visual inspection.

A typical panel filter is £20-£30 so around £20 more than a paper one. As for cleaning Im not sure exactly but I would say every other service.

Think mine might need doing then as the plastic covering on the leads has cracked and brittle as hell.

I would definately replace them if they are cracking and brittle without doubt Haizum.
