Am i correct in thinking that some of the T5's have a limited slip diff, if so are they any good ?

No, you're not correct, none of the cars are fitted with an LSD as standard.

It's a common misconception that the M59 box from the 2wd S/V70R has an LSD but, in reality, it's a viscous coupling attached to the offside driveshaft which acts in some way like an LSD but is nowhere near as good (it's better than nowt though ;) )

Both gripper and quaife make LSD's suitable for the T5 gearbox (M56).

i'm surprised you don't just weld up the diff tbh Paul

I have welded it up but I was looking for an option for when we do Rally cross events and tarmac arena's.

I will just have to get the Mrs to do more overtime so I can afford a Quaife.

Thanks for clarifying that for me.

the lsd in a v70r is very useful in the fact it eliminates one wheel wheelspin out of fast corners

Would have thought a Gripper would have been better for you, you can chose the amount of slip you want.
