any reason why I would be hitting boost cut more in e mode on the slush box rather than in sport mode?

Dont think the box drops down a gear to often so you are boosting in a higher gear.

Do you mean fuel cut (not boost cut)? I have found fuel cut happens to me more on "E" mode. ECU seems not to like higher boost at lower revs. What PSI/bar does this happen at for you?

Mine was between 3-4k in 3rd, 4th and fifth

about 13 to 14 ish psi mate....

in E the turbo kicks in a little harder to get you up to cruise speed a bit quicker and get you cruising hence in long term.....saving fuel. in sport mode the turbo is a little slower to spin up.
