Need to do an oil change, which one?

I need to do an oil change , as it hasn't had one for 6-7k now and I need to know what grade and which brand is the best. I already have the standard filter and crush washer, but should I drain the oil cooler as well and what are the capacities?

I use Syntec (Valvoline) from VT - good quality fully synthetic, rated 5w 40. Any main name branded oil - change every 5K = good preservation.

BTW the capacity is about 7 litres
