hello mate when will we be seeing you again in person
Well I have 53 days to go and should be flying back to the UK around the 17th of June, so the first meet after that I guess, very much looking forward to getting back into the ovlov after 2 months of Landrover Defenders and 4 Tonne 4WD Bedford/DAF's! Hopefully have a few nice mods up my sleeve and look forward to beating the 136bhp 8v RWD smithy wagon.
Also I will be looking to organise another Dyno day probably around July/August time too.

I was running 16psi throught a mbc when i was running the k24 on the 850 so that was boost as quick as it would give it from the turbo and it was fine, even with a good amount of 1/4 mile runs, and that was running lean aswell.
I think its also down to luck, how well your internals have been treated over the years.

Here we go again...lol
Dream on Frankie, ok you have a better time at the moment but remember who thrashed your time in a completely standard car with a slipping clutch, broken gearbox input shaft and a boost leak.
Im aiming at 14.5 but reckon a 14.0 will be feasable when all work is finished.

that time when you did a 13.8 i was watching, and you took your time you wasn't in it for the race but just for a good time you did a perfect start and was going for your best time and you got it

Are they - I was under the impression that on stripping and comparing the rods on 850's are the same as later cars?

theirs a rumour that 850R's have stronger rods than normal 850's, & that early T-5's (850 Turbo) has even weaker rods but think it was decided all were the same. Sure ME7 on S/V/C70's are stronger

later 2.4 t5 engines are the strongest engines

+1
2.4 rods are thicker and manufactured differently to ours - one piece then split to make cap.
All 2.3 T5's share the same rods until 2003 - rod and cap made seperately.
So all 850, VSC70, S60 T5's inc R variants with 2319cc engines up to and including 2002 (mine) have identical rods.
