apologies if this has already been asked but i was wondering what you guys think is the best alloy wheel cleaner?

my s70 t5 has the standard alloys and the fronts have the usual hard to shift brake dust residue.

cant afford to have them refurbed, i just want to have a go at getting them as clean as i can so might as well try the best stuff i can get ...

any suggestions?

cheers!

I use bilberry wheel cleaner - 1 in 5.

you can buy the smaller one.

I use a pressurised squirter - for really stubborn tar you can use claybar or TARDIS.

I use this brush...

and the washmitt for wheels.

You could do with sealing the wheels once clean with a decent sealant or wheel wax.

Before the wax step apply iron x, search you tube to see it working, you wont believe how much contamination this stuff removes from what you think is a clean alloy.

That looks like a great product, thanks for the heads up!

It is expensive but when used with tardis on paint work it can eliminate claying

I tried Iron X on the paint work & I couldn't see the benefit. I will try it on my 19s.

The iron X soap did seem to clean my wheels to a better level (when not treated with wax).
