isn't it just a 4pole relay? original 2 pump wires to trip the relay then main wire from battery in, going to feed to pump

yes, but haven't got round to doing BT yet so not sure what colours you want to connect to where. I'm not sure i'm going to bother with the original pump wires & just run the relay to trip straight off the ignition

it gives a better power feed to the pump, when you look at the original wiring it is very low capacity wire

This can be done on anything that you want to supply more current to. The coil is another good contender, I used to wire up the headlights of my cars this way too (because I was fitting illegal 150w bulbs !) you would be amazed how much current loss you get through the standard wiring. My air-con pump clutch is also wired through a relay as the existing current wasn't enough to kick in the tired clutch.

considering the size of the pump & the wire i'd say i'd certainly help, the wire for the pump is quite low current

the fuel pump drops voltage once its under load and can run cars lean etc , the fuel pump mod just keeps the pump workin as it should
tim williams does a nice kit for them
cheers

you shouldn't need a kit, its just a relay you can pick from anywhere

I looked into this when i had my 850.
I done a few runs on full boost and i only saw a .3 drop so i dont think its a must mod unless you see that theres a big enough drop from battery to pump.
