Clearing Fault Codes

Is there any way of resetting the fault codes other than taking it to dealer etc. I disconnected the battery overnight but the mil light is still on?

Cant Remember who gave it to me now, but have a search and you will have to build your own little circuit to plug into the OBD circuit. You can then read off the blink codes and reset the MIL light.

If it's got the under bonnet diagnostic plug you can reset it from there otherwise disconnecting the battery or unplugging the ecu will do it.......providing the fault has been fixed that is !

It's got the obd11 socket and I have built the code reader, just wondered if you can reset the lights with it?

Does the ecu reset itself when the fault is fixed? I had 232 code and found a broken elbow on the vac pipe going to the manifold. Replaced all the vac pipes and entire pcv system but mil is still on!!!
