Hi. My 850 t5r has started smoking. It only smokes after it's been sat idling for a min. Blue smoke when you pull off. There is no smoke when normal driving. Or when on boost. No smoke on overrun. No smoke when started from cold. Definitely blue oil smoke. It never smoked at all before then suddenly started. Any ideas?

If it was the valve seals wouldn't it smoke when started from cold after it's been left overnight. Cus there's no smoke at all on start up.

well thats what i thought all along and chad and his mechanics said it was the turbo i described all the symptoms and he told me that it was the turbo which suggested to me thats why my peak bhp was at 4000rpm and why my second 1/8th on the strip is always crap

No mate. If it smoked on start up you'd probably be looking at the rings/ bottom end.
I have the same problem with mine; it is def not the turbo/ bottom end on mine.

I have to agree with Pete and James:
valve stem seals ftw lol

Im going to say turbo as my 850 was doing this and the chap who bought it said it was the turbo and had it rebuilt.

If its the turbo start the car from cold and leave it idleing, when the car warms up the turbo will start smoking and putting out lots of smoke(like the v70r i bought).

Mine used to do exactly the same thing. Did a compression test and it was well down on number three. Pulled the head and there was bore wear like I've never seen !. Rebuilt the engine and turbo and it's been good ever since. Think you can have the same symptoms caused by more then one fault so it may be a case of fix cheapest first and repeat until okay. I trust the PCV is all clear.

If the turbo seals had gone it would burning oil into the exhaust and smoking on boost etc, just my opinion through my own experiences.
