Do you have any problems with it rubbering on the arches?? I've got a website that do the 3 and 5 degree plates and I'm very tempted to go for 3 myself. Did you notice a difference?? Sorry for all the questions...

Oh yeh my bad lol, remember you've only fitted them recently.....it's been a busy week for me at work lol, not bothered about tyre wear. However I'm really keen to get my old bus to handle well (some people think ive brought the wrong car for handling but i know they aint scared of a few tight bends once done and setup correctly) I'll be keen to know what they are like once she hanging around a track again :)

where did you get the cage from? im going to be making a track v70 and looking for some sort of cage, main part is to protect me, so does not have to fit the whole car, thats why i was thinking maybe a 850/s70 cage modified a little to fit?

But of course! It's rare for a car to create the sort of attention that the 850 did when Volvo started racing in the BTCC... Ask anyone who likes BTCC to name a racing car from the series and I bet the Volvo 850, Ford Sierra Cosworth and possibly Jaguar are mentioned before anything else past or present. So naturally you'd want the most noticeable on your front cover ;)

Hopefully you aren't too hard on your brakes and you choose a soft pad compound as you will need to change the rotors in 1 millimeters time at a cost of over £200 each.

Thats correct, there are only three conntectors in this area too, the cam which is white if I remember corrrectly, the crank sensor and the PTC Sensor.

Assuming you havnt phyiscally removed the cam sensor then there should be no reason for it to be the case, with James it was the little black reader that had a nip out of it but thats internal behind the sensor itself.

maybe............

to be honest, I have been told to keep it under 4000 revs and 1 bar boost to help run it back in.so I may need the rev limter adjusting for a start! lol

and maybe after lunch, towards the end of the day, maybe we can wind it up a bit.:B_steerin

Just make sure you have a copy of your current map to hand on a USB stick, CD or e-mail it to me. Otherwise we wont have your map to adapt only maps I have for my car.

Im assuming you have altered your old supatune map for the new hardware etc?

Either way I have tweaked the map I got from you so will need a copy to adjust your's as you cant download them off the ECU.

it'll read it from the car won't it?

is the TT software not paired to an ECU?

To the best of my knowledge and having "fiddled" with the TT you can adjust the map live on the car but the TT would need to know which map your using.

Its certainly not paired in any way to the ECU.

By all means check with Adam but to be on the safe side probably best to have a copy, if nothing else to revert back to?

too much fuel going in.

pull the fuse to the fuel pump, turn it over, then put the fuse back in and it starts.
very weird, but it works

wow! what a week!!!
A faulty tcd sensor and a break in the wiring causing all the problems! :(

ok, finally after Cadwell was cancelled, then we got told to go home from Brands on Saturday at 10:30, the car not starting, amonst other things, I finally got some laps in!!!

new rods, rings and bearings meaning a slow start, but it went well.
0.8 bar of boost and 4000 rpm,not very exciting, but just felt great to get back in the car after 6 months.

and a big thanks to Adam (turbo tuner) for his help over the last few days, top man! :)
and of course to Sam for all his help, been a loooong week!

after problem after problem I managed a 15 minute run yesterday.
once we turned the boost up, it was popping pipes off quicker than I could fit them back on! lol

I spent yesterday at Brands for the MSVR media day and spent best part of it either having pictures taken or putting boost pipes back on!
There is a small pic already up on the MSVR website:

http://www.msvracing.co.uk/

Boost was coming in really late,4500 rpm????
but when it came in,OMG!!!! :)
The car shot me into Paddock hill bend at a proper rate of knots, ended up all crossed up,but managed to keep it out of the kitty litter. lol
Then with just a few laps left of the run, I lost gear selection, thankfully on the upshift along the back straight,no real dramas, just a surclip come off.

The car has got some real promise now, just need to iron out a few issues, get it mapped, etc and I think I can start to move up the grid. :)

and I found a small clip from outside the car from Monday's running in period.
