Hello,
I have a Van Aiken chip for my 850 T5, which I have yet to fit. A friend is in the process of soldering the necessary socket into a spare ECU. Does anyone know what sort of changes to the power and torque it will make to an otherwise standard engine.
Thanks
Gavin

Hi and :welcome: as I dont think we've been introduced

But onwards and upwards, the "Van Aiken" chips are supposed to be very good and I know of a few people that have had them and were very pleased with the off the shelf map.

Power I believe is around 280hp which should give you that extra grin factor your looking for

Keep us posted thou to let us know your comments !

Regards

Still not fitted the chip, so will write again when I've got something to report. Am wondering what use 280 bhp will be on slimy roads, but I'll sure it will seem worthwhile in the summer. Maybe I'll need to invest in stickier front tyres, I've got goodyear NCTs on at the moment and they can't cope with the car as it is.

Eibach springs and shocks plus my own mod to get (slightly) more boost (12- 14 psi at a guess)
