Anyone know how to remove the black plastic clips without breaking them, as I need to remove the bumper for repair?

If you're refering to the small round plastic ones then you can't as they're plastic coated rivets, they need to be drilled out. These are used to hold the plastic mudflaps, wheelarch liners and the back edge of the bumpers together.

They are however readily available from Volvo and very cheap.

Thanks Tomcat I thought they were, just didn't want to drill them out if they were reusable.

Just bear in mind that I think there's a couple of plastic nuts that are used to hold the liners against the inner wing, these obviously just unscrew...

If you are going to remove them again in the future what I did with mine was use spire nuts on the bumper tags then use black number plate fasteners (the type with the caps that cover the screw head) and use the self tapping screws that came with the number plate fittings. From all but a couple of inches they look totally stock !
