. . . at long bloody last I made the final payment on the D5 last Monday.

It's the last time I EVER do that! 5 years is more like a sentence than a repayment plan. From now on it gets mended until it falls apart and can't be mended any more.

Any suggestions what I should spend the money on each month?

I've had pretty good experiences with finance....usually with interest rates lower than the rate of inflation

The DIM's dead, the gearbox is dying, it chomps its way thru a set of tyres a year - (22 and counting!) it's impossible for the wife to park and Christ only knows how much next years road tax is going to be.

Why do I not want to get rid of it?
