anyone got a guide to the removal of a v70 turbo, just want to do it as quick as possible, whats the beat way to take it off underneath or under the bonnet?

You can do it from above but it's faster if you can access from below as well, from what I recall. Haven't done one on my driveway for a few years now!

Spray the manifold / downpipe bolts with lots of penetrating oil and leave to sink in overnight before attempting, is my suggestion! Good luck with it.

As above its not a bad job when you can access from top and bottom.

Off the top of my head
Remove strut brace if you have one
Remove intercooler pipe and inlet pipe
Remove the head sheilds
Remove vac lines to acuator and compressor housing
Undew down pipe
Remove oil return and buy new seals
Undew banjos
Undew flange to exhaust manifold
Slide out toward passanger side
Job done

Fitting is the reversal

Hope that helps

It ain't technical... unbolt everything, be ready for the oil and water to come out :)

if you do it from underneath take the drive shaft out makes it million times easier

I am more worried about pete's yorkshire verb - "Undew" - not sure a southerner would understand. :P
